One of the standout features was the custom[air] climate control system from Knorr-Bremse brand Merak. Merak’s solutions offered clean, breathable air with advanced filtration systems, including UV-C lamps and electronic nearfields that help remove pathogens and particulates. Another highlight was the ZeroStepBoarding entrance system, designed to provide barrier-free access for passengers with reduced mobility, including those in wheelchairs or using walking aids. The system, which was demonstrated at InnoTrans, ensures smooth and quick entry without the need for additional active components like flaps or rising steps. This innovation, along with its intelligent sealing system, not only improved accessibility but also enhanced the overall efficiency of train operations by speeding up boarding and reducing delays.
