The Czech Republic's representative in Europe's Rail, Miroslav Haltuf, has been elected as the Chairman of the States Representative Group of the European institution.

Europe's Rail was established as a tool for research and development of technologies and operational solutions in rail transport. It focuses not only on the digital but also on the ecological transformation of transport and is known in the Czech railway environment, in particular, as the body that is pursuing the technical preparation and testing of the Digital Automatic coupling (DAC). Apart from the EU Member States, Turkey, Norway, Israel, and Albania are also associated countries.

In recent years, Europe's Rail has become an influential organization for the discussion and subsequent resolution of all issues and problems related to the competitiveness of rail transport. It is also a relevant structure for the future direction of the rail industry. Miroslav Haltuf is thus one of the most influential Czech representatives in the EU transport institutions.

Who is Miroslav Haltuf?

Miroslav Haltuf is an independent expert and project manager. His work experience includes various positions with Czechoslovak and Czech Railways, as well as international affairs, including UIC activities within the East-West Task Force. He has worked for several rail-related companies as an advisor on international affairs, information technology projects, and strategic development. Currently, Mr. Haltuf is a specialist focusing on international activities and projects. He mainly focuses on operations management of railway undertakings and infrastructure operators, TSIs (TAP and TAF).
